For folks in/around the Omaha area affected by the weather and in need of assistance with food, the Catholic Charities Food Pantry has graciously opened their doors for assistance: They can assist with some refrigeration items as they have them such as meat, milk, eggs, and cheese as well as basic staples that might help the family to free up other money so they can purchase more refrigeration items. Their pantry hours at this site are 9:30am – 11:30am M,T,Th,F and 4:00pm-6:00pm on Wednesday. If a family has been to this pantry within the last 60 days and has experienced a hardship due to the recent power outage they would simply need to provide that information upfront as the reason they are back before they are normally allowed and they will be provide a pantry. Catholic Charities does require a photo ID, Social Security card for everyone they are requesting a pantry for, proof of current address (recent bill addressed to them at that address no older than 60 days).
